Lahore: The wait is finally over! In a historic move, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has officially announced the expansion of the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme Phase-II. For the first time ever, students from Private Sector Universities are now eligible to apply for free laptops.
This decision was made on the occasion of the International Day of Education, ensuring that digital tools are available to every deserving student, regardless of whether they study in a public or private institute.
Who Can Apply? (New Eligibility Criteria)
According to the latest notification, students must meet the following criteria to be eligible for a laptop in 2026:
- Institute Type: Students enrolled in recognized Private Universities and Public Sector institutes can apply.
- Marks Requirement: Minimum 65% marks in the previous exam/semester.
- Domicile: Must hold a domicile from any district of Punjab.
- Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled (Not for passed-out graduates).
